Red, White and Blue Summer Outfit Inspiration

Happy Wednesday! Is anyone else adjusting after the long weekend, or is it just me?

Last weekend of course was Memorial Day weekend, which is the weekend I start to wear all of my red, white and blue, and I keep it up all summer long, even past the Fourth of July. There is just something so summery to me about a palette of red white and blue (although a lot of times I skip the red, and just do white and blue!) I rounded up some outfits that exemplify this color palette, and have rounded up some similar pieces since some of these outfits are old and I can't link anything.

This first one is from this past weekend. One of my favorite things to do when the weather is nice is go on a picnic and eat outside. There are lots of really lovely places to go in Buffalo, and now that I am trying to support some of my favorite local restaurants, getting to go and popping it in your basket of choice is so easy. My boater hat is last summer from Target, I love it so much with its navy ribbon. My blouse is last spring from Target, but here is a similar look with the square neck and button front from Jcrew Factory. I would get this one in white and wear it with my gingham shorts that are so old but still a favorite from Old Navy. This boater hat is super similar to mine with a pretty trailing ribbon, and it is packable!

I wasn't kidding when I said I love picnics! I had to have this lobster sweater from Jcrew Factory last summer. I am actually wearing it right now! It looks so cute with white shorts or jeans. This year Jcrew Factory has a lobster graphic sweatshirt, super cute.

Blue and white stripes are definitely a go to all summer long. I am really eyeing this blue and white striped jumpsuit. Look at the bow in the back!
A striped sweater is a must for summer nights. This nautical stripe one is old from Navy, and has gone with me on every summer trip since I've gotten it.
I love the scalloped camis from Jcrew Factory. They are so versatile. One of my favorite outfits is to tuck it into a blue and white striped midi skirt. The scalloped camis are actually on sale right now! There is a super cute light blue one, but here is my off white one.

And finally, you can never have too many striped midi skirts, and this one is navy. (Old from Francesca's). My boater hat and a crisp white blouse make an appearance.

Red, white and blue, and stripes and gingham are what summer wardrobes are made of in my opinion! I can't wait to share this year's summer outfits that fit this palette.

Have a great rest of the week.
